Golf della Montecchia Course is a 27-hole course that was designed by the golf course architect Tom McAuley. One of the leading European golf courses, it is frequented by an international clientele. It was chosen to host the Alps Tour Tournament twice and the European Challenge Tour Tournament four times.
The Club offers a large driving range with 20 covered stalls, a pro shop, a swimming pool, a solarium, a sauna, two restaurants (one with a Michelin star) and a snack bar.
Bermudagrass has been installed on tees and fairways, allowing a 80% reduction in water supply and 70% cutback in the use of pesticides. The Green Course (9 holes) is the field of the BioGolf case study, involving an utterly organic management of the turf. For its committment to environmental sustainability, Golf della Montecchia has been acknowledged many national and international awards among which the “GEO” certification and the IAGTO Sustainability Awards 2018.
Converted from a barn where tabacco was dried, the large clubhouse, which can be seen from all points of the golf course, houses several elegant lounges for conferences, events and banquets.
Worth mentioning is the state-of-the-art Performance Center, an innovative indoor facility for indoor golf and training in all seasons. Equipped with the latest technologies – Trackman, Sam Putt Lab, Kvest, Technogym – and fun simulators, the Center is managed by the Montecchia Golf Academy staff, a team of golf professionals, personal trainers, physical therapists and nutritionits who offer a new concept of 360° training for golf.
