“During the Olympic Games, I focussed all my emotions on the five rings, and now my commitment is to promote golf”. Giulia’s devotion to her sport, golf, has made her one of the top Italian Olympic athletes in the sport. The memories and emotions were so profound that she decided to have the five rings tattooed on her arm. Now Giulia has returned to Europe after almost 14 years in the USA and is already participating in the Ladies European Tour. She left the American LPGA tour at the end of the season to return to where her career started in 2000. “After 14 years of commitment and sacrifice, I want to share my experiences with young female golfers. Things didn’t go as well as I’d hoped in Rio, but it still was a turning point in my life. Playing on the European tour will let me train promising young golfers because I have a lot to give and share”. Between engagements, she came back to train in Padua at Golf della Montecchia, where she is already cultivating her coaching skills. “Golf is a sport that everybody can play, each person in their own way, it’s great for kids, because it helps then learn to concentrate and exercise self-control, it teaches respect for others, times and nature and it’s a good opportunity for socializing. People make business deals on the golf course in America because there, on the green, you can see how people deal with challenges”, Giulia concluded.
